Magic of the Mantle

So I finally unlocked the secrets of GIMP to make this baby. I may not be amazing yet, but I intend to get there. I finally learned the importance of the airbrush, and unlocked the enigma which is the path tool, which has remained eluding me until this day, when I finally tamed the mighty beast. *cough*

So here we have a portrait of Jackle. One of the boss Nightmaren from NiGHTS in to dreams. I always liked how he had an amazing character design, even if his body consisted of just an empty helm, a face, hands, feet and a cape. It's hard to give a pile of clothes a personality, so I think Sega was deffinately doing something right there when they made him.

The cards were going to have much more elaborate designs to them at first, but I decided to leave them as they were, as I liked how once I erased the lines, the shapes had a really nice, smooth look, so I kept them as they were.

P.S: Laptop users, for fun time. Look in to his eyes and tip the screen back slowly.
